Doosan has added to its warehouse range with a new ride on pallet truck, the LEDH20MP.

Built at Doosan’s latest factory in Freiwalde, near Berlin, Germany, the new 2.0 tonnes capacity model features a powerful 24v drive motor and economical AC controller, housed in a robust 5-point chassis. A compact design and smooth, yet separate, forward and reverse control, as well as distinct lifting and lowering buttons, make the LEDH20MP simple to operate and flexible enough for a host of applications.

The Doosan warehouse range has been designed to mirror the company’s no-nonsense counterbalance range, with heavy duty components and the proven technology inherited by the company when it acquired ATL in 2008.

“We’re very pleased to see this new pallet truck come on stream,” says the UK’s general sales manager, Paul Watson. “As well as being highly suited to the UK market, we are also impressed by the rugged design and ergonomic control handle. It shows that a European built truck for a European audience can work very well when combined with Korean know-how and ingenuity.”

The recently created warehouse equipment subsidiary, DILE, now manufactures a range of equipment complete with electronic AC systems, traction control and modern energy management, aimed at the air cargo, beverage and freight forwarding industries, as well as the general warehousing sector.

Plans to develop the warehouse range still further are already well underway with additional products expected to be unveiled on the company’s IMHX stand later in the year. These are encouraging signs, says Paul Watson, that the business is not resting on its laurels: “We continue to develop our existing product range, adding new designs and options, as well as introducing completely new models. Much of these developments are in response to the successes we’ve already had, and we are responding to the needs of our growing customer base.”

Concludes Paul: “Even though the market has been tough, we’ve weathered the storm well, and new equipment, like this powered pallet truck, will put us in a great position when the market picks up once again.”
