To co-incide with our 10th anniversary in the UK, we chatted to DIV’s head honcho, Mr Tim Waples. As the first British director of Doosan’s UK forklift business, Tim Waples has overseen a remarkable period in the company’s history.
This month sees us celebrate 10 years in the UK! Our CEO, Chinwon Park complimented us on our latest achievement!
“When the UK business began a decade ago, things were quite tough,” said Chinwon. “Not only did the UK directors have to establish the company infrastructure and sales network, but introduce the brand to a discerning public. Leading forklift manufacturer, Doosan, has been chosen as the preferred supplier of leading international construction materials group Saint-Gobain.
The UK’s largest ever forklift deal will see the company supply over 2,000 counterbalance trucks across a variety of Saint-Gobain UK manufacturing, retail and merchant sites. These include the company’s Jewson, JP Corry and Gibbs and Dandy builders’ merchant networks.
