Our Engineers are the face of Rushlift and we need lots of them as we provide nationwide coverage to our customers. We’re looking for talented, energetic and confident individuals who have a passion for delivering excellent service and resolving problems speedily and efficiently.

What you’ll be doing                 


  • Electrical fault find on a wide range of material handling equipment
  • Diagnostics and repairs to both diesel and gas engines
  • Servicing a wide and varied range of equipment
  • Diagnostics and repairs of hydraulic systems
  • Stock control
  • Diagnostics and repairs of transmission systems


A reasonable amount of traveling to and from the training Centre will be expected and you will be required to be flexible with your place of work from time to time. Travel to and from college with be funded.


You will be supported by an internal Trainer / Mentor, who will support you as you follow a structured programme of development on all aspects of material handling equipment and maintenance.

What we’re looking for

  • A passion for engineering and maintenance.
  • Motivation and commitment to succeed on the Apprenticeship Programme by demonstrating your willingness to learn and evolve.
  • Being an engineer in Rushlift will require you to engage with our customers on a daily basis so you will need to have good verbal and listening skills
  • Exceptional IT skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Must have GCSE grade 4 – 9 (A – C) in Maths
  • Must have GCSE grade 4 – 9 (A – C) in English
  • Must have GCSE grade 4 – 9 (A – C) in one other subject
